- 2 cans 8 oz. of tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chile powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Mexican Oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 tsp salt to taste
- 1 cup water
Place all ingredients in a saucepan, and whisk together. Bring to a light boil then lower heat to a simmer for 10 minutes on medium-low heat.
Allow cooling before serving.
Taco sauce is good in the fridge for up to 5-7 days in an airtight container. The sauce can also be frozen for future use.
