Ingredients

  • 4 lemons or limes quartered and seeds removed.
  • 8 cups cold filtered water divided (1 cup for simple syrup, 4 cups to blend, 3 cups to add)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Place the sugar and 1 cup of water in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Stir so that the sugar dissolves completely and remove from heat. Let cool.
  • Blend lemon quarters in a high-power blender with 4 cups of water. Blend until lemons are completely broken down. Let sit for a couple minutes so the rind can float up.
  • Pour the lemonade through a metal strainer over the pitcher, then add the simple syrup and 3 cups of the remaining water.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with the fruit of your choice.
