Mango Michelada is a delicious twist on a classic Mexican beer-based cocktail. A fantastic drink for Summertime, Holiday, or anytime get-togethers.

Is this the perfect summertime drink?  You bet it is!  A super-cold beer mixed with lime juice, mango puree, or nectar, and a dash of Chamoy sauce, served in a salted Tajín rim glass, oh so REFRESHING!

✷Who created Michelada?

Legend has it that the Michelada was either created by Michel Esper in San Luís Potosí or named after Mexican general Augusto Michel, who was known to add chiles and lime juice to his beer. Regardless of its origin, the Michelada has become a beloved drink in Mexico and beyond. Cheers to this legendary drink that brings people together in the spirit of good times and great company!

✷What is a Michelada?

The michelada, undoubtedly one of the most sought-after drinks in Mexico, is a beer-based cocktail that is prepared using lime, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and frequently tomato or Clamato juice, all served over ice in a glass with a salted rim.

Mango Michelada with Chamoy

 A Mango Michelada replaces the clamato with mango puree or nectar, and Chamoy replaces the hot sauce…even though Chamoy is sweet it can have some heat to it, add lime juice, and your favorite Mexican beer with a salted rim of just salt or Tajin seasoning for the perfect drink.



What’s in a Mango Michelada?

  • Mango Nectar
  • Lime juice
  • Chamoy sauce & Tajín chile seasoning
  • Mexican Beers

How to make a Mango Michelada

  • Place lime juice around the rim of the glasses, dip in Tajin chile seasoning
  • Blend Mango nectar and lime juice together, and pour half into each glass.
  • Then place 2 tbsp of Chamoy in each glass, top with beer, and serve the remaining beer on the side (you may have a little extra beer in the can or bottle, but you can continue adding to your glass as you drink it down)

Quick stir to combine. Enjoy!!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 12 oz Chilled Mexican beers
  • 1 cup mango nectar
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 4 tablespoons Chamoy
  • 2 teaspoons Tajin chile seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Place lime juice around the rim of the glasses, dip in Tajin chile seasoning
  • Blend Mango nectar and lime juice together, and pour half into each glass.
  • Then place 2 tbsp of Chamoy in each glass, then top with beer and serve the remaining beer on the side (you may have a little extra beer in the can or bottle, but you can continue adding to your glass as you drink it down)
  • Quick stir to combine. Enjoy!!
