Transform Your Paloma into a Refreshing Slushie with a Twist
Who doesn’t love a refreshing Paloma during the summertime? Take it up a notch by turning it into a slushie! For an extra level of depth and richness, swap out the tequila for bourbon whiskey. If you’re serving this to guests, prepare it and place it in the freezer two hours before their arrival. Alternatively, you can make it earlier in the day. Remove the slushie from the freezer earlier to avoid it being frozen solid.

For This Recipe You Will Need:
- Juice – Ruby Red grapefruit juice, regular grapefruit juice, or freshly squeezed juice.
- Soda- Squirt soda is the usual choice, but if it’s not available, you can use Fresca instead. In case both are unavailable, soda water can serve as a substitute.
- Sugar – Granulated sugar or agave nectar can replace sugar in this recipe.
- Lime juice – freshly squeezed, or bottled lime juice
Plus
- Ice – crushed or cubed

Easy to Make Paloma Slushie Mocktail
- Blend all ingredients in the blender on high for 2-3 minutes.
- Rub the rim of a glass with lime juice and dip into salt, sugar, or Tajin chile seasoning.

- Tip – Whenever you make any slushie, adjusting the ingredients to your taste is recommended. Rimming your glass with sugar for a sweeter taste, dip in Tajin for adding spiciness, like salty? dip into kosher salt.

Paloma Slushie (Mocktail)
Equipment
- 1 blender
Ingredients
- 3 cups ice cubes
- ½ cups red grapefruit juice
- ½ cup Squirt soda ( or any grapefruit soda)
- ¼ cup sugar ( 2 tbsp agave nectar)
- 2 tbsp fresh squeezed lime juice (bottled juice can be used)
Instructions
- In a blender combine all ingredients.
- Cover and blend on high until slushy about 2-3 minutes
- Rub the rim of the glass with juice and dip in salt, sugar, or Tajin
