Classic Margarita Recipe

A margarita is a cocktail consisting of tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice often served with salt on the rim of the glass.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz. Triple Sec or Cointreau
  • 4 oz. Tequila
  • 2 oz. lime juice
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • lime wedges
  • Coarse kosher salt for rimming glasses
  • 8 ounces tequila
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup
  • coarse kosher salt for rimming glass
  • lime wedges
  • 5-6 cups of ice

Instructions
 

  • Using a lime wedge, moisten the rim of On The Rock glass.
  • Dip the wet rim into the salt and rotate for an even coating
  • Combine the first 3 ingredients.
  • Shake and strain into a margarita glass filled with ic
  • Garnish with a lime wedge
  • Rim 2 margarita glasses with lime and dip in salt. Combine tequila, lime juice, triple sec, agave syrup, and ice in a blender. Blend until a slushy consistency.
  • Pour into glasses and garnish with lime rounds
