This easy Dulce de Leche Ice Cream recipe has only 2-ingredients and no ice cream maker is needed! Just two ingredients make the most creamy, melt-in-your-mouth ice cream you’ve ever tasted.
Did you know that “Dulce de leche” means “sweet milk” in Spanish? It’s such a lovely name for this delicious treat! And there are even more cute names for it in Spanish, like “manjar” meaning “delicacy”, and “arequipe” meaning “sweet milk”. In some Mesoamerican countries, they even call dulce de leche made with goat’s milk “cajeta”! It’s amazing how many different names there are for this yummy dessert.
Who doesn’t love ice cream? If you’re a fan of this frozen treat, then you’ll be happy to know that there’s a no-churn version that’s just as delicious as the traditional kind. Instead of cooking a custard base, this recipe uses sweetened condensed milk to create a rich and creamy texture. All you need to do is whip the condensed milk with some heavy cream, freeze it overnight, and voila – you’ll have a silky smooth ice cream that will give the best store-bought brands a run for their money!
