Is Pineapple Pico de Gallo a salsa?

Ingredients

You only need Seven ingredients for this delicious salsa

  • ✱Pineapple tidbits – Fresh or canned, Mango can be added or substituted for pineapple
  • ✱Tomatoes – Roma tomatoes, diced
  • ✱Onions – Red or white, diced
  • ✱Cilantro – Chopped
  • ✱Chile Pepper – Serrano or Jalapeño, diced
  • ✱Lime juice – Fresh squeezed
  • ✱Salt to taste

🞺Tip: Red ripe Roma tomatoes are what I prefer to use for this recipe. Roma (Plum) tomatoes are less watery and have fewer seeds. If you use another type of tomatoes, you can deseed them.

Pineapple Pico de Gallo


Making This Salsa:

Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl.

Add salt and lime juice to taste.

Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving

Storing

Pineapple Pico de Gallo can be stored for up to 3 days in a sealed container in the refrigerator.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 - 20 oz can pineapple tidbits drained
  • 2 cups diced Roma tomatoes about 4 tomatoes
  • 1 serrano or jalapeño stemmed seeded, and finely diced (2 for more heat)
  • 1/2 small red onion finely diced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt

Instructions
 

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl.
  • Add salt and lime juice to taste.
  • Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before serving
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
