Ingredients:
Whip up a batch of zesty Cilantro Lime Sauce – it’s a breeze to make, with basic ingredients, and a burst of flavor that will jazz up your meals in no time!
Wet Ingredients:
- Sour cream -(Mexican sour cream or Greek yogurt can be used)
- Mayonnaise
- Lime juice – Fresh squeezed (recommended)
Vegetables:
- Cilantro: leaves only
- Chile Peppers: Jalapeño (serrano for heat-optional) stemmed, seeded
- Garlic: Garlic Powder – or 1/2 tsp minced garlic
Dry Ingredient:
- Salt – Sea salt or kosher (recommended)
- Sugar – helps balance the flavors
Notes: If used for a dressing or drizzling on burgers, adding more mayo will thin out the sauce.

How to Make This Cilantro Lime Sauce
Just two steps to this delicious sauce
- In the blender, pulse the cilantro with the lime juice, sour cream, mayonnaise, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and chile peppers, and purée until smooth.

Ingredients
- 1 cup sour cream you can use Mexican Crema or Greek Yogurt
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup cilantro chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt + salt to taste
- 2 tablespoons lime juice + plus to taste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 jalapeno seeded and diced (optional)
Instructions
- In the blender, pulse the cilantro with the lime juice, sour cream, mayonnaise, sugar, garlic powder, salt, and purée until smooth.
- Taste, and adjust the seasoning with more salt or lime juice.
